Lebanon Soccer Club
Lebanon Soccer Club is beginning its fourth year and is showing great growth. This level of soccer is for boys and girls with a higher skill level and who are interested in a more competitive type of play.
Parents and players often have many questions regarding "travel teams" and we hope to answer or clarify what being on a "travel team" means.
Children playing on the "travel" team will play against children in their age brackett with the same skill level. Any child interested in participating in this level of play must try out for the coach to ensure their skills meet the requirements to ensure safe play. Unlike recreational soccer where teams will often consist of players with various level of skills, the travel teams are built with players who have a more advanced level in order to compete with various teams from other clubs.
Teams with LSC travel across Middle Tennessee and some teams travel outside the state to compete in tournaments and represent Lebanon Soccer. The distance a team will travel is determined by each individual team/coach. Younger teams normally play within the Middle Tennessee area while older teams may choose to travel in and outside the MIddle Tennessee area.
Travel teams do involve more expenses. All coaches in the select/travel program are licensed coaches and are paid a fee by each player per month. This fee is set by the LYSA Board prior to each season. The player is also responsible for the purchase price of their uniform. Any expenses involved in traveling to/from a tournament are the parent's responsibility and tournament fees are the responsibility of each team.
